World Antibiotic Awareness Week

This week, 14th-20th November 2016 is World Antibiotic Awareness Week. As a practice we are already keenly aware of how important it is to be responsible with our antibiotics. Over the past two years we have been working closely with our farmers to reduce the usage of the restricted classes of antibiotics which include the Fluoroquinolones and 3rd and 4th generation of Cephalosporins. It is vitally important to protect these antibiotics due to their significance in the treatment of human health conditions. We are always interested to chat to farmers about how they can further reduce their antibiotic usage and about how we can slow the development of resistance to antibiotics.
