The AHDB Mastitis Control Plan (formerly Dairy Co Mastitis Control Plan) is a plan tailored to individual farms. Detailed information is gathered via a survey, somatic cell counts, milk bacteriology, disease patterns and clinical information. From this farm specific information a plan to combat mastitis is drawn up with the vet.
This plan is regularly reviewed and with compliance to the strategy developed a significant reduction in mastitis cases is proven. Several of the vets within the practice are able to deliver the plan. For more information please contact the surgery.
