Nematodirus forecast map shows an increased risk in areas of Southern England

The Sustainable Control of Parasites in Sheep (SCOPS) group has today issued a warning to farmers in the lower regions of Southern England of an increased risk of nematodirus in mid-February born lambs. Those lambs, coming up to the age of six weeks old, are now most at risk as they begin to consume larger amounts of grass at a time when weather patterns suit the hatching of nematodirus eggs
