How do student placements work?

We welcome applications for EMS from enthusiastic students in their clinical years of training.

Prior to a student arriving we will formulate an itinerary for the duration of their stay, trying our best to accommodate a range of routine and emergency work seen with a variety of vets. If there is an area of particular interest, we will try and accommodate this in a student’s visit.

We ask students to contact us detailing what sort of work they’d like to see with us, when they’d be interested in visiting us, and a phone number so we can easily get in contact and request a copy of your CV.

For those requiring accommodation, we are able to host up to 2 students in a purpose-built flat adjoining the practice. Please ask for prices and availability.

Please note we are an extremely popular practice for EMS placements, and are often booked 12 months in advance. Placements will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
