Controlling Johne’s Disease In Your Herd: An Online Interactive Workshop For Farmers

Pete Orpin MRCVS, is Chair of the Dairy UK Action Group on Johne’s Disease, responsible for coordinating Johne’s research and developing practical control measures for Johne’s Disease in UK dairy herds.

Workshop Agenda Pete Orpin will use a range of case studies to help you design appropriate, practical and affordable control strategies and biosecurity measures. Dr James Hanks (University of Reading) will describe how the Johne’s Disease Tracker in InterHerd+ provides key data for farmer/vet discussions. Prof. David Rose (University of Cranfield) will explore other barriers to Johne’s Disease control.

InterHerd+ JD Tracker Report Milk recording attendees can receive a JD Tracker report based on their own herd. This will benchmark herd JD performance and identify key animals relevant to the
discussions.
