Smallholders Group

About this discussion group

Our smallholder’s club is open to any clients who keep small numbers of sheep, goats, cows, pigs, alpacas, chickens or more!

Suitable for anyone keeping livestock as pets, right up to small commercial flocks or herds. We aim to meet four times a year to discuss topics such as medicines usage and common conditions and have also organised to go group farm visits. All upcoming meetings will be advertised via our website and social media. We are open to all new ideas and want this to be an encouraging and safe space for us all to learn more from each other!

We have a Whatsapp group where we can communicate between meetings to keep everyone up to date on anything new that is going on in the practice, and as a way for you to connect with other smallholders.

We also have a subscription package for £50/year which entitles you to:

  • Entry to four talks (£10 each without membership)
  • Four worm egg counts per year
  • Monthly newsletters

Previous meetings have included; introduction to medicines usage on your smallholding, goat dairy insights and common goat husbandry issues, sheep showing and annual update and more!

Please call the practice for more information if you would like to be part of the group or use the form below.
